Fortnite Week 8 is live now, and you’ll need to place wiretaps at different key locations. This is one of several Legendary Quests that you can complete as of July 28, and the Epic challenges arrived the following day. As usual with these story-driven orange quests, your goals are unique to the challenge, so you can’t even find these wiretaps unless the quest is active. But if you’re here, you’re ready to figure it out, so let’s get into it.
Fortnite Wiretap Locations
For this quest, you’ll need to place wiretaps at three different spots around the map. From Wednesday, there will be five different places of interest that will house interact objects to complete this quest. Each location has three possible wiretap interactions, though right now it’s unclear if you’ll be able to complete this challenge by placing all three wiretaps in one location or if you’ll need to venture to other locales.
With that in mind, we’ve marked where you can find all o…
When you look at Titanfall, it’s easy to see the familiar. Most of the weapons, grenades, and abilities fill well-worn niches. Many of the environments are like the grimy villages and industrial complexes that have hosted countless online battles in dozens of other games. The competitive modes are bog standard. And yet, when you play Titanfall, it’s impossible to shake the feeling that you’re playing something special.
The key is mobility. Titanfall gives you the ability to leap, climb, and wall-run your way around the map, and these simple actions create an exhilarating array of possibilities. No longer constrained by corridors and stairwells, you and your foes engage in high-flying, freewheeling combat in which the sheer joy of movement makes the familiar feel fresh and vibrant. This novel brand of warfare is enough to heartily recommend the game, but that’s not all that this multiplayer-only shooter does well. You also clash with your foes in lumbering b…

Announced on the Fortnite Status Twitter account, Epic says that it will increase the amount of XP gained from bonus goals and reduce the number of stages needed to complete multi-stage quests. These changes go live on January 18, alongside the new weekly quests. While it isn’t clear exactly how much these changes will lessen the grind, players still aren’t happy that Epic won’t remove the timer on these challenges.

L’Autorité de régulation des jeux (ANJ) is the regulator of France who recently announced a public consultation period of one month regarding gambling advertising. Depending on the outcome of the public comment, changes may be coming to the regulatory framework within the country’s gambling industry.
Gathering Feedback
Starting today and continuing for one month, the consultation seeks to gather feedback from residents of France about how gambling is perceived. The regulator also hopes to learn more about how citizens feel about the promotional strategies used by gaming operators.
A poll will be taken as to how people feel about the ANJ’s powers to regulate gambling advertising. The regulator will ask if new controls should be added to help protect young people and those who are more vulnerable to gambling harm.
The consultation comes at a time when ANJ has criticized gambling operators in France for excessive advertising during the Euro 2020.…

Patch 6 of Baldur’s Gate 3 released recently, and it came with its fair share of bugs and issues, most of which are getting fixed in short order. One thing that had modders’ hackles raised, however, was a double-tap that busted the game’s script extender (required to run the lion’s share of mods) twice: One expected breakage when the patch dropped, and a second less-anticipated break from a hotfix.
While you should never expect mods to work after a major patch, I can see how it’d be frustrating for some players to sit through a (self-inflicted) wait after a major update and get things working again, only for a ‘smaller’ one to put them back in the queue.
Though I doubt modders ought to be Larian’s main consideration when releasing a hotfix, it did strike the player base as odd, to say the least. In a response to this upset slice of its player base, Larian stated it’d be working on official mod support for the game, a “robust, cross-platfor…
One of the champions is unlikely to lap up adoration or show an overwhelming emotion in the pool. The other is all strut.
Both styles were on display Wednesday night at La Defense Arena in Nanterre, France, where Frenchman Leon Marchand and American Katie Ledecky added to their growing medal collections.
Marchand, 22, became the first swimmer in 48 years to win two individual gold medals on the same day. Marchand, who had already won a gold, his first Olympic medal, on Sunday in the 400-m individual medley, started off his night by catching Hungarian Kristof Milak with a finishing kick in the 200-m butterfly that sent the capacity crowd of 17,000 into a delirium that caused at least one person in the arena—OK, me—to cover his ears. It was the loudest indoor sports event I’ve ever been to, and I’ll never forget it.
